History

Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women. It was founded at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia on May 15, 1851. The Beta Sigma chapter at Mercer University was founded on November 13, 1937. In 2022, the Beta Sigma chapter was awarded with the Golden Lion.
